The success of the eighth edition of the Biogas Forum, the flagship event of ABiogás, the Brazilian Biogas Association, has illustrated how the biogas and biomethane/RNG industry in Brazil is still very much alive and in great ferment. Despite the last two years of pandemics and uncertainty, the sector has experienced an increase of more than 30% in biogas, used not only for energy production but also for biomethane! And it is precisely the constant contribution of the Abigas association to create the conditions needed for the development of biomethane, working on a daily basis to create a certification scheme for biomethane/RNG, to make the incentives accessible to all and issuing a new incentive law.
