In the UK, 15 new agricultural biomethane plants with CO2 capture and virtuous use of digestate
Agriculture and breeding
Acorn Bioenergy is developing 15 anaerobic digestion plants for the production of biomethane in the UK, with the support of Qualitas Energy, an expert in renewable energy investments. The biomethane produced by these plants is obtained from animal waste and agricultural residues, with potential benefits for local industry deriving from the capture and use of carbon and the use of organic digestate on soil, allowing the reduction of CO2 and environmental impact.
