New biomethane/RNG draft decree for Italy: we must focus on the transport sector
Market and policy
The new draft decree for providing biomethane/RNG incentives in Italy focuses on the transport sector, because this is where we must increase the share of renewables. Incentives are provided both for biomethane produced and consumed in loco by the producer and for that introduced into the grid. What are the next steps and the timing for signing the decree? We have spoken to Giovanni Perrella, of the Ministry for Economic Development.
