Prospects for the biogas sector in Germany after the end of EEG incentives

In light of the conclusion of EEG incentives for biogas energy production, what are the prospects for the biogas sector in Germany? Currently, some plants are considering a further extension of the remuneration through a system of tenders. An alternative is the conversion of existing plants for the production of biomethane for transport or integration with other technologies to flexibly power the electricity grid. We discussed the future of the industry and “sector coupling” with Christoph Spurk.
