Germany: flexible energy from biogas, how can it be optimized?
Market and policy
With the increase in the production of energy from renewable sources, such as sun and wind, it becomes crucial to also introduce flexible forms of energy that can adapt to changes in demand or market conditions. The energy produced by a biogas plant is perfect in these cases. But how can we optimise the potential of biogas energy production to make it more dynamic? Complex mathematical processes exist, able to provide optimisation strategies, taking into consideration production constraints and market forecasts. Thanks to this approach, producers can increase their profits, selling energy at times of high demand and contributing to the long-term survival of the biogas sector.
