Renewable hydrogen, a valuable ally for the decarbonization of transport
Market and policy
Blue, gray, green hydrogen... There are many colors with which this versatile element is identified. Green hydrogen, however, is the only one that could become a valuable ally for decarbonizing the energy mix. What differentiates it from other types of hydrogen? The fact that it comes from completely renewable sources. To produce it, in fact, it is possible to use both the electrolysis process, in other words extraction from water using electricity from renewable sources, as well as the process of steam reforming with biogas. Renewable hydrogen is an alternative zero-emission fuel and can also be added to fossil fuels. How? IOGEN explains it to us.
