Recent updates to incentives in the United Kingdom have given a long-awaited boost to the biomethane/RNG sector. More than 50 new plants will be built over the next two years thanks to an investment of £150-£300 million in the sector! So what are the future prospects for this sector and AD in the United Kingdom? This was explained to us by Charlotte Morton, chief executive of ADBA, whom we met at the “AD and Biogas Industry Awards” ceremony after the first day of the world’s largest biogas trade fair, the “UK AD & World Biogas Expo 2018”.
