Since 1960, biomethane/RNG and bio-fertilizer for the rural community of Falköping, Sweden
What is biomethane/RNG?
The small community of Falköping has been engaged since the '60s in producing biogas from waste water, and has recently installed a digester to also treat urban waste. By upgrading the biogas, all municipal and private vehicles are now powered by biomethane/RNG. The “Falköping model” sets an example to other municipalities of how to get the maximum benefit from biogas production.
