Sugarcane biomethane for Brazil's Decarbonisation: interview with UNICA

UNICA, União da Indústria de Cana-de-Açúcar e Bioenergia, is the representative body of sugar, ethanol and bio-electricity producers in south-central Brazil. UNICA actively participated in the creation of RenovaBio, Brazil’s largest decarbonisation programme. RenovaBio encourages the use of biofuels, and in particular biomethane. Evandro Gussi, CEO of UNICA, explained how biomethane is produced from sugar cane and the great potential of this biomass. Find out more in the interview.
