The "Mon Gaz du Coin" data exchange platform, to optimise the demand-supply of biomethane in the French grid
Soon biomethane will account for 75% of the gas flowing through the French national grid. For this reason, it is necessary to optimise the gas demand-supply balance and ensure that all the actors involved – producers, final consumers and local authorities – are aligned and can exchange data in real time. Sorégies, in collaboration with other operators of the gas transmission and distribution networks in France, has therefore joined forces to develop the "Mon Gaz du Coin" data exchange platform in the Mauges grid, a small region in western France. This platform allows the various actors involved to keep in continuous contact, allowing them to share biomethane consumption forecasts and gas injected into the network, also taking into account maintenance or forced shutdown periods.
