The versatility of biomethane in emerging industries
Applications and technologies
Wouter Kuipers, Managing Director at ACT Commodities, talks to us about the sectors in which biomethane is asserting itself. The sectors with the greatest potential are certainly transport, where biomethane is already a valid option, and more recently the maritime and aeronautical sectors, which are exploring biomethane as a solution to reduce their emissions. In addition, the chemical industry is considering the use of biomethane as a raw material for plastic production. This renewable gas therefore demonstrates considerable versatility of use and plays a key role in the decarbonisation path of many companies.
