Accelerating the biomethane market in Poland
Market and policy
The Polish Chamber of Commerce for Renewable and Distributed Energy has developed a strategic program to support the growth of the biomethane market in Poland by transferring European best practices. According to the study, the country could produce between 3.5 and 5 billion cubic meters of biomethane from waste and organic by-products. The report also identifies the legislative, financial, and administrative measures needed to enable sector growth. Three possible development scenarios were analyzed: decentralized agricultural plants, large-scale industrial facilities, and a flexible model adaptable to local conditions.
