We have already had the opportunity to talk about the study carried out by the CNR IIA institute and promoted by the Italian Biogas Consortium and IVECO on the environmental effects of liquefied biomethane compared to other fuels. The study, which analyses 11 scenarios differentiated by raw material and by the presence or absence of CO2 capture during the upgrading process, highlights how the production of biomethane is particularly advantageous from an environmental point of view, especially if deriving from biogas produced entirely from livestock waste. In this interview with Lorenzo Maggioni from the Italian Biogas Consortium (CIB), we take a closer look at the advantages of agricultural biomethane and the upcoming changes in terms of incentives thanks to the Ministerial Decree being approved.
