Biogas and biomethane in Veneto, protagonists of the second stage of the CIB Farming Tour at the l’Azienda Agricola Ca’ Corniani (Genagricola Group)
Case history
The second stage of the FarmingTour, the travelling event organised by the CIB (Italian Biogas Consortium) to discover Italian farms producing biogas and biomethane, was recently held in Caorle (VE).
The protagonist of the day was the Azienda Agricola Ca' Corniani, part of the Genagricola Group, a leading company on the agricultural scene in Italy, which boasts 1700 hectares of land used for the cultivation of arable and herbaceous crops, a small portion for viticulture and a 999 kWh biogas plant. The focus of the Venetian stage was on the development opportunities made possible by the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for the agricultural biogas and biomethane supply chain, the recent regulatory changes introduced for the primary sector as it grapples with the challenge of combating the recent energy crisis and the increase in raw materials.
