BioLNG in the mobility sector: reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by up to 121.6%
Market and policy
In the mobility sector, liquefied biomethane or bioLNG allows the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by up to 121.6% compared to the use of diesel and a 65% decrease in nitrogen dioxide.
This is what emerged from the study launched by the CNR - IIA institute and promoted by the Italian Biogas Consortium and IVECO. We discussed the study with Fabrizio Buffa, Italy Market Alternative Propulsions Manager at IVECO, who offered us a clear picture of the advantages of biomethane compared to other technologies.
