Biomethane Day Ireland 2026: it’s time to move into action!
Market and policy
Biomethane Day Ireland returned to Dublin for its second edition, bringing back a very concrete question: how do we move from strategy to production?
The event, organised by Biomethane RNG Channel and with AB and Nephin as main sponsors, welcomed over 300 participants and a high-level speaker programme.
Between national 2030 targets, first grid injections, and tools still under development, a clear gap emerged between ambition and operational reality. A gap that will not close on its own, but through continuous dialogue, coordination, and commitment among all stakeholders involved.
Only in this way can Ireland’s goal of 5.7 TWh of biomethane production by 2030 truly become achievable. Let’s relive the key moments of the day through the voices of the moderators.
