Caviro Extra: 12 million tons of biomethane/RNG from agro-industrial waste
Applications and technologies
In May 2019, Caviro Extra – an Italian agricultural cooperative leader in the wine sector – installed a biogas upgrading plant using membrane technology. About 15.5 million Nm3 of treated biogas produces 12 million tons of 96% pure biomethane/RNG to be injected into the SNAM network. Thanks to this project, Caviro can recover and enhance the value of over 560,000 tons of agro-industrial waste, which is transformed into biomethane/RNG, bioethanol and electricity. Find out Caviro’s story in this interview with Fabio Baldazzi.
