Cooperatives are essential for the development of biomethane projects in Ireland: interview with ICOS
Associations
In this interview with the Irish Cooperative Organisation Society - ICOS, the national coordinating body for the cooperative sector in Ireland, we talk about how the cooperative structure system can play an important role in the development of the biomethane sector in Ireland. In fact, the new National Biomethane Strategy mentions cooperatives as an element to be involved in biomethane projects, not only to transfer the commitment to collect and supply raw materials and to manage logistics, but also to transfer to members the value created, the digestate obtained and the energy produced, whether electrical, thermal or fuel.
