The ERGaR certification of origin scheme was established in June 2021 and is managed by the European Renewable Gas Registry, with the purpose of facilitating and encouraging cross-border transfers of certificates of origin (CoO) issued by Member countries. The aim is to provide a reliable, transparent and independent documentation system to reduce the risk of double sales and calculations.
