For the last stage of the Farming Tour, focus on digestate and minimum processing techniques
Case history
The fourth and final stage of the 2023 Farming Tour organized by the Italian Biogas Consortium takes us to Emilia-Romagna, at the Società Cooperativa Agricola Il Raccolto, which uses the digestate produced by the biogas plant as a natural soil improver for its land cultivated with grains, fodder plants and sorghum. The company was also a pioneer in adopting precision farming and minimal processing techniques, which those present had the opportunity to observe first hand with field trials.
