From Poland, a story of circular economy and agricultural biogas
Case history
We visited Lubików, a small village in east-central Poland, to see a biogas plant that turns agricultural waste – including onion peels – into energy! The plant is owned by a family farm that mainly grows vegetables and cereals and, for a few years now, has been turning waste into electricity – sold at a fixed price for 15 years – heat, and digestate, a natural fertilizer that enriches the fields.
