Guaranteed minimum prices for plants that continue to produce electricity from biogas: the CIB is working to improve the definition methods
Market and policy
To ensure the continuation of electricity production from biogas, the CIB (Italian Biogas consortium) is working to improve the way guaranteed minimum prices are set. The interventions required, above all, concern the determination of the value of corn, operating costs and the possible payment on a monthly basis. The Electrical Services Operator (GSE) should shortly publish the procedures to allow plants already entitled to do so to access the guaranteed minimum prices.
