IFA - Irish Farmers' Association: National Biomethane Strategy enthusiastically welcomed, but critical issues for farmers still need to be resolved

The Irish Farmers' Association - IFA, the organisation representing Irish farmers, has enthusiastically welcomed the National Biomethane Strategy presented a few weeks ago. However, 40 million in funding is not enough, when compared to the funds allocated by other European countries and what is needed to launch the biomethane sector in Ireland. In addition, some critical issues remain for farmers regarding agricultural cooperatives, the use of digestate and the supply of raw materials. We will explore these points in the interview.
