In the heart of England, energy for 1,8MW for Guy Hildred's farm
Agriculture and breeding
Guy Hildred's adventure with biogas began purely by chance when a local investor knocked on his door one day. He now possesses a 1,8MW plant that produces heat and electricity fuelled, amongst others, by maize, cereal and silage, which keep biogas production levels high and reduce odours. Guy is always looking for new methods of improving efficiency: he is now testing the use of new feedstocks and a crop rotation system to keep the land in excellent condition.
