Italian FER2 Decree: new incentives for biogas plants up to 300 kW published
Market and policy
The FER2 Decree has been published, which provides new incentives for biogas plants up to 300 kW in Italy. The planned rate is 233 Euros/MWh. To access the incentives, operators must submit an application to the relative calls and wait for the publication of the rankings. For existing plants that have finished the incentive period, the GMP or guaranteed minimum price was established, a form of support for production costs. We asked Elisa Codazzi from CIB Service to illustrate the access methods and the environmental requirements to which the plants must be subjected in order to access the tender.
