Producing biomethane/RNG by thermochemical conversion
Applications and technologies
As well as by upgrading the biogas produced by anaerobic digestion, biomethane/RNG can also be produced through thermochemical conversion. This is an alternative process to anaerobic digestion that also enables wood-sourced biomass to be used. To date there is only one industrial plant using this technology, which is still not very widespread. We discuss this with Jörgen Held, CEO of Renewtec.
