Quality products, respect for the environment and soil protection thanks to biogas
Case history
The third stage of BDR Days, the “Biogas Done Right" initiative promoted by the Italian Biogas Consortium, took place in Puglia, in Cerignola, at the Azienda Agricola A.R.T.E. This is the final stage of a tour immersed in Italian excellence, which ends in one of the country’s richest territories when it comes to opportunities for the development of biogas and biomethane.
Massimo Borrelli’s A.R.T.E. is a business focused on the production, transformation, and sale of pasta and flour from autochthonous grains. In 2010 the company embarked on the “biogasdoneright” path, installing a biogas plant fed with agricultural by-products and successfully reconciling the production of quality products with respect for the environment and the protection of the soil. And the virtuous cycle has not yet been closed... A new plant for upgrading biogas into biomethane is also on the way.
