Sustainable soups thanks to a biogas plant: the Nowalijka case
Case history
In this video, we explore Nowalijka, an innovative Polish company that has made the production of soups and hydroponic vegetables—such as herbs and soil-free vegetables—a model of advanced sustainability. At the Jarosty site, in the heart of Poland, the electricity and heat needed for all company facilities is generated by a cogeneration plant powered by biogas, produced from the fermentation of production waste. This closed-loop approach allows Nowalijka to turn waste into energy, managing both its energy supply and waste disposal internally, increasing efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring full production autonomy.
