The first biomethane/RNG plants in Emilia-Romagna were already installed back in 2013. These plants, which purify the biogas originating from sewage sludge, agricultural and landfill waste were among the first to identify the upgrading technologies best suited for different types of gas and to benefit from the support of research projects and special programs funded at the European level.
