WBA: The biogas industry is growing worldwide
Market and policy
Charlotte Morton, Chief Executive of the World Biogas Association says the biogas industry is finally growing around the world. At the European level, the sector is growing by 37% year-on-year and, even in countries without subsidies – such as Brazil, the United Kingdom or India – the momentum is significant. Following this trend, the WBA has launched the # MakingBiogasHappen (MBH) programme to help all countries realise their full potential, creating a global regulatory framework and certification systems to ensure that plants are well designed and managed. A particular role is played by the industry, which the WBA invites to provide input and feedback to ensure that the proposed solutions meet the needs of the sector.
