The first edition of the European Biomethane Week was a success. During this week of events, supported by the European Commission and the Biomethane Industrial Partnership, the EBA Conference 2023 was also held. An extraordinary event, with over 650 participants, 49 speakers – including EU and Member State policy makers –, photo contests, networking moments and a guided tour of one of the largest biomethane production plants in Europe. This year’s EBA Conference is a demonstration of the enthusiasm and growth of the biomethane sector, which is poised to realise the target of 35 billion cubic metres (bcm) of biomethane in support of the rapid decarbonisation of the electricity, heating, transport and industrial sectors.
