Fuel cell micro-cogeneration: the PACE project for a large-scale distribution
The PACE project is an initiative co-funded by the European Union with the aim of making fuel cell micro-cogeneration available on a large scale. The project was launched in 2016 and ended with a dissemination event in Brussels in April 2023. As explained by Hans Korteweg from COGEN Europe, who coordinated the project, in its 7 years of activity, 5 technology suppliers have installed and tested more than 2600 plants in 9 different European countries with a total of 23 million operating hours and 24 million kW/h of electricity produced.
