A new biomethane plant from agricultural waste in Guer, Brittany
Case history
In Guer, Brittany, there is a new biomethane plant from agricultural waste! It is the SAS Methaenergie De L'Avenir plant, which has a flow rate of 125 Sm³/h and produces biomethane for injection into the gas network. The by-products used are manure, sewage, agricultural waste and a small part of corn. The plant is not only an alternative source of income for the company - which cultivates over 400 hectares and manages 220 dairy cattle - but also provides digestate for fertilising the fields. A winning project, recently inaugurated in the presence of the local community.
