Anaerobic digestion to take advantage of municipal organic waste
Associations
In this Web Talk, we met with the Secretary General of the Municipal Waste Europe association to talk about the collection of organic waste in Europe. After reviewing the key legislative acts contained in the 2018 Circular Economy Package, including separate food waste collection by 2027 and a 65% recycling obligation by 2035, it was stressed once again that anaerobic digestion is one of the best options for the treatment of municipal organic waste. So how can biogas projects be promoted in order to make the most of organic waste? Communicating more information about the technology, in order to convince local and national authorities to adopt it.
