Italian Biogas Consortium’s BDR DAYS: Beets for advanced biogas and biomethane production and testing in the field
Agriculture and breeding
The first of the Italian Biogas Consortium’s BDR DAYS was recently held in Bagnoli di Sopra, in Padua. The protagonists of the day? Beets! Autumn sowing beets, in fact, are a product that not only represent a valid alternative for agronomic rotation, but which are also particularly suitable for the advanced production of biogas and biomethane through anaerobic digestion.
During the day, agricultural machinery for harvesting and transporting beets and for burying the digestate also took to the fields.
