Power to Gas is a promising technology that enables the conversion of electricity into hydrogen or synthetic methane. These can then be fed into the natural gas network, serve as a fuel or be utilised in industry. This technology can be used in different ways, including in combination with biogas. A particular example is on the island of Gotland, in the Baltic Sea, where all the favourable conditions needed for its implementation coexist.
