Progetto Mais 100% for the reuse of grain corn crop residues
Research
The Progetto Mais 100% aims to reuse grain corn crop residues (such as stocks), using them for anaerobic digestion and the production of biogas and therefore biomethane. Some sites for the collection of these by-products have therefore been evaluated using three different machines that vary both in terms of efficiency and economy. The CIB - Italian Biogas Consortium, the University of Milan, the CRPA (Animal Production Research Centre) - and four farms from Lombardy on which field tests were carried out collaborated on the project. The results? Let’s discover them with Professor Marco Fiala.
