Optimizing biogas production: the role of pretreatment with a ball mill
Research
Using low-cost and low-quality raw materials can cause problems in anaerobic digestion plants. For this reason, substrate pretreatment, for example with a ball mill, can help break down the material, facilitating the action of microorganisms. The ball mill, despite its high investment and operating costs, allows for improved biogas yield. Let's find out more with Benedikt Hülsemann from Universität Hohenheim.
