Social acceptability for biogas and biomethane: The results of the CIB-YouTrend survey
Research
During Biogas Italy, the results of the survey conducted by CIB in collaboration with YouTrend were presented to explore the perception of the biogas and biomethane sector and public trust in this industry. The data shared by Lorenzo Pregliasco (YouTrend) show that most of the respondents, about 70%, have already heard about these topics, indicating that the issue is gaining ground in public debate. Furthermore, the concepts most commonly associated with this technology are sustainability, ecology, and circularity. However, concerns remain, requiring the commitment of industry associations, the media, and institutions to ensure clear and accurate information, thus improving the sector's acceptability.
