Sustainable management of digestate: techniques for reducing ammonia emissions
Anaerobic digestion
In order to manage digestate sustainably, several aspects must be taken into consideration: environmental, economic and social. With regard to the former, a particularly important aspect concerns ammonia emissions, which can be reduced through storage, distribution and valorisation techniques. One technique studied by the University of Milan is nitrogen stripping. Let’s find out more in this Interview!
