Brazil towards COP30: Industry and sustainability hand in hand
Associations
Davi Bomtempo, from the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) in Brazil, explains that the country has major advantages for the energy transition: a clean energy system, strong biofuel production, and enormous biodiversity. At COP30 in Belém, CNI aims to show how these strengths can translate into industrial development and job creation. The private sector will play a key role in the low-carbon transition through investments in renewable energy, the bioeconomy, and sustainable finance. The main challenges are costs, skills, and access to funding. Today, Bomtempo says, sustainability is an industrial strategy, not just an environmental value.
