E-BioPond: new materials are born from waste biomass
Research
The e-Biocenter research centre of the Università degli studi di Milano has patented new biocompatible and electroconductive materials capable of replacing very expensive materials such as carbon fibre. Starting from recovered biomass such as green waste or crop residues and exploiting the pyrolysis process, it is therefore possible to find new ways to optimally reuse the waste, building low cost phyto-purification plants or creating synthetic fertilisers for agricultural soil.
From these materials new technologies can also come to life such as e-BioPond, which we will discuss in the next video.
