The benefits of biogas in Indonesia and Vietnam assessed by the FAO using the GBEP indicators
Research
The GBEP (Global Bioenergy Partnership) indicators are supported and recognised by the FAO, which has recently used them to assess the benefits and impact that biogas production would have in Indonesia and Vietnam. In Indonesia the biogas produced using waste materials and waste water from palm oil processing would lead to a marked reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. In Vietnam, on the other hand, using biogas in the domestic market could help to reduce household expenditure.
