Biogas and biomethane from coffee processing by-products: an interesting research project from the Polytechnic of Turin
Research
Coffee processing produces large amounts by-products that could be used for the production of biogas and biomethane. The research work carried out by the Polytechnic of Turin, in Italy, aims to assess whether these solutions can be effective for the treatment of and for taking advantage of these by-products. In order to achieve this aim, an assessment of the waste (raw powder, roasted powder and pellet) generated by coffee production processes deriving from two plants in a large Italian company was carried out. How did the analysis take place and what were the results? Find out in this video.
